Dolphins are marine mammals which means they breathe air and live in the oceans. There are almost 40 species of dolphin.
They vary in size, the smallest is a Maui's dolphin which is about 1.2m long and 40kgs. The largest of the dolphin family is the Orca or killer whale which can grow up to 9.5m and 10 tonnes in weight.
Dolphins are found all over the world, mostly in shallower seas. They are carnivores and eat mostly fish and squid.
Dolphins are very clever. A group of dolphins is called a 'pod', the males are called 'bulls' and the females are called 'cows'.

Saturday the 8 of september.

Regan`s Dad dropped Regan off ,at my house on Saturday. My Dad was flying the little remote controlled helicopter when we went inside. We had turns too, after that we went outside to the cowshed and went down to the paddocks to see the calves. My Mum hooked the trailer onto the motorbike and Regan , Willem and I had a ride in it. It was really fun and bumpy. When I saw a bump with a puddle in it I jumped up and jumped down in the trailer.
 We had some lunch and another go with the helicopter.
Just before Regan went home he had a ride in the feed - out wagon tractor with my Dad , Me and Willem and Mum stayed at home . When Regan got back to the house we got into the car and drove to Regans house to drop him off.

Safe Place

In an emergency we go to the end of the concrete,away from the house as possible.

CHESS !

I think chess at lunchtimes would be fun. We could learn all the chess pieces and where they can move to. It could be a good activity when it is raining at lunchtime and it's good to learn new things. We could play chess instead of playing on the computer.

     OUR FIRE RULES!

When the smoke alarm goes off, we know there might be a fire.
We go away from the fire to the nearest door.
If it is smokey we duck down and crawl to the nearest door.
If there is no alarm and we find a fire we shout so everyone can hear us, - FIRE!!!
